“YOU WILL GO FAR WITH CTR”

“YOU WILL GO FAR WITH CTR”
You can get far if you just CHOOSE THE RIGHT. If you follow the right paths you will go the right way, leading you to being a successful person. Choosing the right makes your life a whole lot easier, it gets you out of problems and you have enough freedom. The reason I think successful people are here is because they never gave up on themselves and they stayed out of smoking, drinking, and instead but their efforts on studying, and learning new things. Some people even take notes in class so they can study at home and learn something new. Something not will not help you in life at all is, choosing the wrong. It would get you know where and you wouldn’t be a successful person. If you choose the right anywhere you go people will think and agree that you’re a good person. Choosing the right can make people trust you with anything.
You don’t lose any privileges and you will have a good future. Thinking of it, walking down the right path and not the wrong is a better and easier life to live. People will talk about you all over the place, your name will shine bright. Choosing the right can help you with your goals in life, you can achieve anything.AN EXAMPLE: you can read your school text books to memorize, study your class notes, do all your homework, study every day to refresh your memory. People that are drop outs don’t care about their future, high school is the key to your life. Some people don’t think of it that way, that’s the reason they drop out and end up as bums not working at a good store because they dropped the key to open the next one.

Academic Success Part 2

Academic Success Part 2
Laura B.’s Academic Success Story
In high school I was one of the good students who didn’t really have to study to be a good student. The information that I took for notes in class usually sunk in enough for me to be able to get by on the tests by simply reviewing the material just before the class began. It wasn’t that I didn’t try, I had a 4.0 all through out high school, but I never really had to put forth much of an effort to get the results that I wanted too see. In college however, that changed. Not only did I start studying and reading the book, but I began to understand that the little tiny facts were just as important as the general concepts. My overall study method: I do the reading that is required for the classes, and I try to keep up. If I do fall behind, I usually use the reading that I did not get to as an additional study aid. I take good notes in class and actually attend every class I can. Sometimes, with volleyball, its tough because we are on the road a lot, but if I do miss class because of volleyball make sure that I get the notes from another student in class. Also, for a subject such as chemistry. I do practice problems to help me understand what the material means.

I Will Persist Until I Succeed Part 1

I Will Persist Until I Succeed
                                        Part 1
Heather A’s. Academic Success Story
In high school, I didn’t study much in groups as I do in high school. I feel I learn better when I can teach other people information and we can exchange notes taken in class because sometimes other students pick up on more important information than others.

My overall study method I prefer to study in small groups and practice problems where I can work out the methods verbally with others. Me test study method. I have very different techniques. For financial tests, I try to work on problems given in class as well as problems from power points and homework. When it comes to marketing classes, I review my notes and try to make diagrams to describe different processes.

My time management secret. One of my biggest secrets is to look over the information that you just learned when class is over. After reviewing the information it sticks a little bit better than waiting until the night before the test.

How I deal with multiple projects tests. I try to work on whatever has the shortest deadline and work from there. My overall study method. I tend to do massive studying blocks of about an hour or so in order to really learn the material.

Student Success Statement # 25

"You have only always to do what is right. It will become easier by practice, and you enjoy in the midst of your trails the pleasure of an approving conscience."
- Robert E. Lee

What i think this statement is trying to say is that, if you always choose what is right your life will become easier and it won't be a struggle at all. PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

 Part 5

After some serious soul-searching, Kennedy decided she was made for a purpose, to be successful and to fulfill who she was destined to be. She returned to DCCC “with determination and a mindset that I would not fail with God leading me.”

She says her first semester back was difficult. “I knew I could find refuge in the Student Success Program,” Kennedy said. “To my benefit, Ms. Gravely accepted me back. Because of my struggles and hard times, I seek a new beginning every day and don’t allow the past to cripple my future I have learned to have self-value.”

                                                     Part 4
As Kennedy by crumpled in her hospital bed following the accident, she realized that many of her wounds were invisible. “After the car accident, I suffered from low self-esteem and depression,” she said. “For years, I allowed someone I loved to physically, mentally emotionally abuse me.”
She had previously tried making a few DCCC classes, but said she was immature and not ready for academic challenge. She dropped out. After the accident, she returned to DCCC to take cosmetology classes. She left school time and began working as a certified nursing assistant. After yet another car accident, she felt unstable, hopeless, and didn’t know what to do.
